Virtual Workshop: Sustainability in the Supply Chain with Amazon Operations

Team up with Amazon Operations on their mission to be more sustainable!

It is well known that supply chain management is an integral part of most businesses and is essential to company success and customer satisfaction. We as end customers, only get to see one small piece of supply chains, as we get our packages delivered to our doorstep. Especially in current times of a pandemic, it seems that our online shopping behaviour is increasing. And this poses supply chain operators under increasing challenges. One of those, is the challenge of sustainability.

How can we make supply chains more sustainable? And how can we leverage new technologies for that? We partnered with Amazon Operations to find out how they are handling these challenges currently. In a short breakfast-version of a workshop on May 29th, we want to get to know more about Amazon Operations’ challenges and use the time to brainstorm together on how sustainability can be achieved by using new technologies within supply chains.

We will host a virtual get-together on Amazon’s online conferencing tool Chime, where we will listen to insight stories of the Amazon Operations Sustainability Team. After that, we want to get together in small groups (remotely, of course) and use an online-tool for brainstorming and exchanging ideas on how we can improve sustainability within supply chains. In the end, you will have the chance to present your ideas on a virtual dashboard directly to the Amazon Operations Sustainability Team. Finally, we will have a group discussion and a Q&A session where you will be able to pose all the questions you have about sustainability in supply chains at Amazon Operations.
